ADG employee scoops national photography prize

11/01/2010

An employee at the Plymouth-based Architects Design Group (ADG) has scooped a national photography prize.

Pete Curno, ADG’s technical manager, won the property category of the competition, which was run by commercial property consultants Drivers Jonas, Property Week and the City of London Corporation.
Pete, a keen amateur photographer, submitted an abstract shot of the University of Exeter’s Senate Chamber, where ADG’s interior design arm, ADG Interiors, completed a major commission last year.

He said: “This was a last minute entry and I was really surprised to have won, but the judges said they liked the use of abstract forms and subtle lighting, and said the shot met the creative brief of the property category perfectly.”

Pete’s prize is £750 of photographic vouchers, and his photograph has recently been featured on the front page of Property Week along with the winners of the two other categories in the competition.
