Wall of Wishes to influence care provision in Cornwall

27/09/2010

A Cornish charity is marking International Older People’s Day (Friday 01 October) by launching a unique piece of research to capture Cornish people’s ambitions for later life and shape future care provision in the county.

On Friday, Cornwall Care, the county’s largest provider of care for older people, unveils a Wall of Wishes on its new website, designed to enable local people to share their hopes and desires for the kind of life they want to lead when they are older.

Douglas Webb, Chief Executive of Cornwall Care said: “The Wall of Wishes on our new website is a piece of research designed to broaden our understanding as to the kind of life local people want to live in older age.

“Wishes registered on our website will be used to steer the quality care provision we deliver across the county. This research is incredibly important to us and to the older people we support so I’m encouraging everyone to visit www.cornwallcare.org.uk and spend just a couple of minutes sharing their hopes for later life.”

Visit the Wall of Wishes at www.cornwallcare.org.uk from Friday 01 October to register your wishes for later life.
