Babcock International has been announced as the main sponsor of the Armed Forces Day National Event, taking place in the historic maritime city of Plymouth on Saturday 30 June 2012.

Plymouth will celebrate its historic, unique and scientific connections with the sea and all things marine in its first Marine City Festival, to be held in September this year.

Today the city of Plymouth officially accepted the honour of hosting the national Armed Forces Day celebrations for 2012 as the official flag was delivered to the city.

Plymouth’s programme of events for 2012 will be revealed tonight (Monday, 28 November) at a special preview event at the brand new River Cottage Canteen on Royal William Yard.
