A special open day is being held at Cargo, in Millbay Road, on Saturday June 27 featuring information and advice on the scheme which is aimed towards helping individuals, couples and families get their foot on the property ladder by offering to fund up to 30 per cent of the purchase price on a shared-equity basis.
With prices at Cargo starting at £109,950 it means buyers could move into their own home from just £76,965.
Independent Financial advisors will be on hand to help home buyers check they are eligible for the scheme, to explain how it works and even help with the application process and mortgage advice. The Cargo sales team will also be ready to show people around the stunning range of show homes.
David Caught, Sales and Marketing Director of Muse developments, one of the partners within Millbay’s lead developer English Cities Fund (ECf), said: “HomeBuy Direct makes it more affordable for people to move into their own home and is already proving popular at Cargo. By holding the open day we are giving people the chance to get all the information they need under one roof, view our show apartments and choose the home of their dreams.”
Millbay’s lead developer, English Cities Fund (ECf), has reserved just 20 one and two-bedroom apartments at Cargo which will be available to purchasers who cannot afford to purchase a home but who qualify under the HomeBuy Direct scheme, and key workers. Interest has been high and already six of these have been sold.
People who don’t meet the HomeBuy Direct criteria may still be able to take advantage of English Cities Fund’s own Equity Share Scheme which will fund up to 25 per cent of the purchase price for a property at Cargo.
