The factory and workspace units, on land off West Road, would be part of a mixed-use development that was granted outline planning permission in January.
The scheme, which includes open market and affordable homes, retail shops, sheltered accommodation and a nursing home is being developed by local company Fortdown Ltd, with Priority Sites acting as the development partner for the workspace element.
Robert McGuffie, Priority Sites’ senior development manager for the South West, said: “We are proposing a high quality business park with a range of flexible units from 2,000 sq ft to 15,000 sq ft that could support around 200 jobs once fully occupied.
“The site will meet a pressing need for workspace in the Newquay area and will be built to very high environmental standards, reducing running costs for owners and tenants. We are keen to hear from any potential occupiers who are seeking factory or workspace units to buy or let, and we can accommodate office requirements if there is demand. Grant support might also be available.”
Priority Sites, which is a commercial development company jointly owned by the Royal Bank of Scotland and the Homes and Community Agency, has a number of bespoke and speculative commercial property developments in the pipeline in Cornwall and currently has high quality office premises available in Falmouth and St Austell.
