Laura, from Newquay, has spent the last four years as a financial adviser with Co-Operative Financial Services, part of The Co-Operative Group, in Cornwall.
She will work alongside Watson French directors Stephen Watson and Nick Wood. Watson French has more than £100 million of funds under management and combines financial planning and investment management expertise to deliver a bespoke and independent service to clients.
It has a specialism in small self-administered pension schemes (SSAS) and is one of just a handful of firms in the region and just over 300 nationwide with prestigious Chartered Financial Planner status from the Chartered Insurance Institute, which is a hallmark of quality and technical excellence.
Stephen Watson, managing director at Watson French, said: “We set the bar very high for recruits because our clients expect nothing less, and we’re delighted that Laura has joined the team. Our growth strategy will see us take on more people over the next year and for the right candidates I believe we offer a mentoring programme that is second to none.”
Laura said: “Watson French has a reputation for excellence and this is a fantastic opportunity to learn from some of the most experienced people in the business. I’m looking forward to helping clients realise their financial goals and working towards Chartered status myself.”
Laura has joined the six-strong team at Watson French and has a particular interest in ethical and green investment. For more information visit www.watsonfrench.co.uk
