Record number of exam passes for accountancy firm

22/09/2011
Chartered accountants Francis Clark have announced a record number of trainees passing their ACA (Associate of the institute of Chartered Accountants) examinations and becoming members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW).

Among the eight successful candidates were Nicola Cornish and Aimee Phillips from the firm’s Truro office, following Francis Clark’s recent merger with Winter Rule.
Francis Clark HR Manager Duncan Endacott, said: “As newly-qualified members of the ICAEW, all will now develop their skills and experience within the fields of audit and accounts.
“As a result of Francis Clark’s recent merger with Winter Rule, this is the highest number of ACAs qualifying with the firm in any one year and is a testimony to the investment and importance the firm places in student training.
“A further notable success was Nicola being recognised by the South Western branch of the ICAEW for achieving the highest score in the Case Study part of the final exam.
“We will shortly begin the 2012 recruitment programme and we expect to have anything up to ten vacancies.  Part of this process will be Francis Clark attending the Exeter Careers and Placement Fair on 25 October at Exeter University when graduates interested in a career in accountancy will be able to talk to representatives of the firm.”
