Now in its third year, Finance in Cornwall is an opportunity to catch up on the very latest finance and support available to small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in Cornwall.
Opening with an address by Seb Aslan from the Department for Business and Skills SME finance team, the seminar will include an update on the future of business support in Cornwall, an overview of the delivery mechanisms for funding in a post-RDA world, updates on new and existing funds, and a session on investor readiness.
Director Richard Wadman from Winter Rule’s corporate finance team, said: “Given the radical changes to regional economic development in the last 11 months the funding landscape continues to evolve so we’re trying to present local businesses with a route map to growth - rather than a minefield for the unwary.
“Our selection of speakers will present both the national and regional perspective, and as with previous years we have a wide range of funders from High Street banks to venture capitalists available for networking, together with some of Cornwall’s leading business support providers. This event is a must for anyone wanting to know more about finance in Cornwall.”
The seminar takes place on Thursday May 19 at Trelissick Garden, Feock near Truro from 8am until 12 noon. Refreshments will be served and there will be free entry to the garden afterwards.
The seminar is free and bookable on a first come first served basis by contacting Amy Smith at Winter Rule via asmith@winterrule.co.uk or on 01872-276477.
