The UK is poised to become a globally significant tungsten exporter by 2014 with proposals well advanced for the development by Wolf Minerals of the Hemerdon Ball project, near Plymouth.

One of the largest tungsten and tin resources in the western world, Hemerdon will provide security of supply for tungsten and valuable export revenue for the UK.

It will also create some 230 direct jobs and pump hundreds of millions of pounds into the Plymouth and Devon economies over the next decade.

Wolf Minerals are an Australian-based speciality metals exploration and development company and have been working closely with the local communities in Devon to bring forward the mine, which already has planning permission in place.
